Cumplicado

Well it´s another complicated week of emailing here in Argentina!  Today is the Independence day of Argentina and everything is closed. I found one little ghetto internet cafe but it´s ugly. I can hardly use the computer. I´m convinced it´s just gonna give up on us any second.

Life as a ZL has been good. It´s basically the same as any other missionary but with a lot more phone calls. Also, I got to give a presentation this week with my comp who is the other ZL in our zone conference and it went super good.

I heard in church yesterday something I loved! ¨the best way to overcome your problems is to focus on the problems of others and help them out´ or at least that’s my translation of it. I have some problems in the life right now but hearing that really strengthened me. I´m going to put it into practice and just help everyone I see here in Argentina come to Jesus :) Well don´t look for another email with pictures cuz there is no way I’m sticking anything into this USB port. This computer is so filled with viruses and bugs it’s ridiculous. Vamos todavia argentina :)

other than that I spent the week working hard, doing splits with our district leaders and also with the aps which was a great experience. I love you all lots!

I HAVE A MICROWAVE!!!

It´s been a great week. I love my new area. My old pension was basically a prison cell and my new one is HUGE and basically a house. I have a roof balcony and the coolest part is there´s an actual microwave! It´s a pretty big deal. I´m basically living it like a bigshot. 

This week Elder Favila (my new comp from Washington) and I were searching for investigators and we entered a house where a Jehovah´s witness lives. We gave the Restoration to her and her family and the spirit was so strong. It was such a cool experience. She didn´t want to accept a baptismal date yet, but she really opened her mind to what we taught which is super rare cuz JWs are a pretty closed-minded bible bashing bunch usually for us. 

Other than that we´re working lots with recent converts here. They´ve had tons of baptisms in this ward recently so we´re gonna help them stay active and at the same time find lots more people to enter the water :)))

Transfers

I don’t have much time to write today cuz the whole country here went on strike today so the four missionaries of our ward are sharing this one computer. So, I´ll be brief. I have to leave my son here in Las Delicias and I’m getting sent to another part of the city, Azcuenaga. There I will have the great opportunity to be a zone leader. I’m excited for the opportunity to serve in this manner!

Juez

I´m not really sure what to put this week honestly. It was good. Some days were really cold and some were just right but I´m just thankful to not live 24/7 drenched in my own sweat anymore. Those months were terrible. 

This week I gave a baptismal interview that was INTENSE. Obviously, I can´t write much about it but I can bear testimony that repentance is very real and something that we all must do to be clean of our sins. It´s not a bad thing. It is an opportunity to grow and change. 

That’s all I got folks. I’m gonna write better next week.... Happy Father´s day too!

A Week of Meat

This last Monday we had our own meat cook as a district and this week we did it as a zone so it´s been really good. The members stopped giving us lots of meat ‘cuz it got really expensive so we all chipped in and bought it for ourselves.

I’m not sure what else has happened. We´ve spent lots of time knocking doors this last week. I´m sure this week will have lots more of that. I was able to do splits with my zone leaders and that was lots of fun. 

I dunno what else to put. I love this work and am doing good. Remember always the importance of the Book of Mormon. It´s been too long since I´ve reminded you all of that. Read it every single day and I know you will come to know and love your Savior more.

World's Best Dad (me) Oh, and My Dad

This was a really great week. I’m really loving being a trainer. Elder Arroyo is a complete stud. Every now and then I just sit back and let him run ‘cuz he does an amazing job. The other day he got so excited in the lesson he literally stood up and just started to testify. So, you could say I’m a pretty great trainer. 

This week I also contacted the house that Messi was born in. It´s abandoned now but that was still pretty dope. 

Also, this week we ran into two pastors in the streets that just attacked us verbally. Let me tell you it is so easy to defend the truth. It defends itself because it is TRUTH: all we have to do is testify of it. 

I love you all so much. Thanks for all your prayers in my behalf :))
